A STUDY OF THE ROTATOR OF A MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE CRUSHER

Garbage crusher is special equipment for breaking municipal solid waste (MSW). The MSW to be broken into small size by garbage crusher are both important to transportation, storage, landfill treatment and to improve the burning thermal efficiency. The working performance of the rotator influences the work efficiency of the crusher. Because of the variety and uncertainty of municipal solid waste, it is difficult to properly design garbage crusher. The conventional design of rotator of garbage crusher is based on 2D computer aided design. The design process always takes long times and cannot ensure the high designing. efficiency. To solve these problems, we firstly design garbage crusher by referring the mine crush equipment. The structural parameters of the rotator are obtained by using empirical formula and theoretical calculation. This makes the preparation for developing the 3D CAD model. Then we establish the structure diagram of the parameter design of the rotator by using parametric design method and characteristics of Pro/E design platform. The seamless integration between each application procedure module and Pro/E system has been implemented by using the second developed function of Pro/E. Based on the method of parameter design and by using C programming language; we design a reasonable UI (User Interface). Using this 3D CAD system, the related 3D solid model of the component parts of the rotator can be generated automatically by input the rotator's parameters. This 3D CAD system can greatly shorten the design period and improves design efficiency in development of the rotator.
