摘要
In this study, an experiment has been conducted in two elementary schools with 9 teachers and 203 students involved to identify the potential issues when initiatively utilizing eTextbooks in 14 classes by using a mix-method design of lecture video coding, interviews and questionnaires. A research framework was proposed to examine the potential issues in terms of the technical issues, user experience from teachers, user experience from students and class preparation. From the experimental results, it is found that: 1. Technical issues, such as failure of devices and software, delay of systems response and switching among systems delay would be crucial for using eTextbooks in the classrooms; 2. A high quality of user experiences from both teachers' and students' would bring a positive attitude and motivation for teaching and learning with eTextbooks; 3. If teachers had more experiences in instructional design, they would perform better class preparation when using eTextbooks in K-12 classrooms.
