摘要
In the maritime industry, the use of pod propulsion system has been strengthened not only for the cruise ships but also in other type of vessels. Several studies have been performed in order to investigate power quality issues and system failures when pods are used. In this paper, a systematic approach has been developed in order to investigate pod propulsion from the electrical point of view. The load torque applied from the propeller to the electric machine has been studied and modelled and dynamic load changes have been simulated and presented.
