摘要：

The development of multimedia Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications to automotive engineering education programmes is described providing details of the structure and outline content of these applications. They have been developed for a Masters programme for employees of the industry and have now been extended to a pilot project involving automotive supply SMEs. The effectiveness of these applications has been evaluated demonstrating benefits in learning and a reduction in time away from the workplace for learners. Resource implications and the need for collaboration between education providers and the industry have been identified.
