摘要
The present article proposes a critical examination and re-evaluation of the current institutional and academic framework of initial teacher training in Romania. It analyses the problematic aspects of pre-service teacher training programs in Romanian universities, in terms of organization and course design, the ratio between theoretical content and teaching practice and the quality of outcomes. Starting from questioning the efficiency of the current initial teaching training system in Romania, the author suggests, from a critical and comparative perspective, potential solutions and alternative models for improving the quality of initial teacher training courses.
