摘要
Background: Dosage of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is not yet established in attempt to optimize ovarian response in term of age-related declining number of oocyte, whether it should be incremented or decremented during period of stimulation. This study objective is to observe relationship between number of retrieved oocyte and total dosage of recombinant FSH given throughout period of in vitro fertilization (IVF) program. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study from registered record of patients' IVF cycles in Yasmin Clinic, Cipto Man-gunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, since 2012 to 2016. Data was analyzed statistically to determine data distribution and continue to discover significance between 2 variables. Results: From 1287 cycles were enrolled in this study, data distribution was normal and significant negative correlation was found between number of retrieved oocytes and total recombinant FSH dosage given classified in age group during stimulation periods with p < 0.001 and r = -0.111. Conclusion: There was significant negative correlation between number of retrieved oocytes and total recombinant FSH dosage given during ovarian stimulation periods despite its weak correlation.
