摘要
A study on planar-segmented HPGe detector requirements for their use as Compton Camera has been performed. The study includes measurements with a planar-segmented Ge prototype detector and simulation calculations of its performance. The comparison between the results obtained with the measurement and the simulation leads to the proposal of new developments in the planar-segmented detectors. An algorithm for the determination of the interaction position of the gamma ray in the detector has been also created and tested by simulation calculations. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
