摘要：
The article deals with formation and development of an interdisciplinary branch which is called the general theory of coenoses. Special attention is paid to the formation of its branching - the theory of linguistic coenoses. The paper focuses on logical and methodological issues related with such notions as community, system, coenosis, and statistical population.
