An experimental and mathematical formulation for machine tool thermal error

摘要：
The objective of this work is to present a new formulation for machine parametric errors, considering its modifications due to thermal influences. The proposed model considers the fact that temperature influences are not the same for all the machine working volume. The methodology was applied for the prediction of thermal errors in a CNC cylindrical grinding machine. The simulated error results were evaluated, discussed and compared with errors measured in workpieces.
