摘要
Stocking Assessment and Planning is a computer program designed to help foresters visualize and control competition in uneven-aged stands. Growth Basal Area is used to index site stockability and site-specific Stand Density Index is used to measure density and competition by size class. The program displays the amount of competition contributed by each stand segment and allows the forester to allocate density across the stand to redistribute growing space. Charts are produced by the computer to depict the attributes of the current stand, the proposed thinning, and the residual stand.
