This article examines several key community factors that impact individual learning. Specifically, the impact ui wealth, parent support, single-parent families, mobility, and school organization on academic achievement at the community level and on individuals in the context of the community is considered, Key definitions and specific indicators often cited in the literature are presented. The interrelations among these factors are emphasized.
