摘要
The decomposition of toluene and butyl acetate was investigated in a plasma-assisted catalytic system. The wire-cylinder plasma reactor using pulse for power source and Pt/Al2O3 catalyst was studied. It was found that plasma treatment significantly increases the removal effect of catalysts. The induced plasma increased the removal efficiency nearly by about 28% in 245degreesC and nearly by 36% in 210degreesC for butyl-acetate. These effects of the combined treatment are higher than the sum of individual steps. It means that this synergy is partly due to the catalytic oxidation with ozone and other active particles that are produced in the discharge. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
