Evaluation of phosphorus soil tests in halomorphic soils

摘要
The extractable phosphate determined by the methods of Bray, Olsen and Al Abbas-Barber was studied in relation to the labile phosphate (''L'' values), plant uptake (Elytrigia elongata) and phosphate buffer capacity of the soil. The study was carried out using fourteen halomorphic soils; none of them had ever been fertilized. The best correlations were obtained with the Olsen method. The Al Abbas-Barber extraction removed more phosphorus than that present in the labile pool.
