Research and Practice of Bilingual Teaching for Electrical and Electronic Technology

The competition of international market and talent propose more demand on higher engineering education, and cultivating the professional technicians with strong ability of using English in practice is one of the goals of higher engineering education. Then, bilingual teaching has attracted more and more attention. Bilingual teaching in China is in the early stage and faces many problems. Based on exploring the meaning of bilingual education, with the bilingual teaching for electrical and electronic technology, the ideas and objectives of establishment of bilingual teaching system are introduced, the characteristics of the construction of the course materials is described, the bilingual teaching methods facing the ordinary college students are discussed, the bilingual teaching practice is carried out. The result shows that the implementation of the bilingual teaching for electrical and electronic technology is feasible with the concerted efforts of both sides of teaching and studying, and it can lay a good foundation to cultivate bilingual professionals with extensive engineering knowledge.
