摘要
In Europe, neurological disorders are the third leading cause of death and disability, after cardiovascular diseases and cancer, and yet up to 40% of dementia cases are potentially preventable. The research presented in this article is focused on the association between long-term exposure to green spaces and general and specific mortality from neuro-degenerative diseases among the elderly population, as well on the potential role of air pollution and the influence of social factors. Methodological issues around measuring exposure to green spaces are also addressed.
