摘要
This paper proposes an effective and simple method to enhance the accuracy of location algorithm based on time-of-arrival (TOA) estimates between the source and the receivers. Mathematical Statistics and Geometry theories are applied to the proposed method. The enhanced TOA location algorithms with the proposed method can lower the measurement time or avoid complex iterated algorithm (e.g., Taylor-Series estimation). That is, measurement time and computation complexity can be significantly reduced. Simulation results show that the accuracy of the location estimation can be enhanced by about 15 percent in line-of-sight (LOS) propagation and about 20 percent in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation at best.
