摘要
Copper based catalysts for catalytic combustion of styrene were prepared separately with and without pretreatment of H-2 reduction, and then were characterized separately by X-ray diffraction, temperature programmed reduction by H-2 and CO-chemisorption. Results showed that the use of H-2 reduction to pretreat the copper based catalysts CuO/gamma-Al2O3/HA made copper species get more highly dispersed on support, metal area per gram of copper of the catalyst became higher, and the reducibility of CuO on the support be higher. As a result, its catalytic activity was greatly improved in comparison with the catalyst CuO/gamma-Al2O3 pretreated without H-2 reduction. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
