The calculation of atmospheric neutrino flux in HKKM04 [1] is over viewed, examining the error due to the calculation scheme. It is found to be similar to 5 % at 0.1 GeV and decrease rapidly with neutrino energy. Then, the accuracies of the interaction model and resulted atmospheric neutrino fluxes are studied using atmospheric muon data. We estimate the possible error in the flux value of HKKM04 is less than 10 % in 1-10 GeV, although we find DPMJET-III [2], the interaction model used in HKKM04, needs to be modified at high energies. After a modification is applied, the agreement of the calculation and the observation of the muon flux is improved. The neutrino fluxes calculated with the modified interaction model increase from HKKM04 at higher energies (> 10 GeV).
