摘要
The decomposition of cyclohexane in air in a 3-phase gliding discharge (GD) reactor has been investigated. Effects of the initial cyclohexane concentration, gas flow rate and discharge power, as well as effects of additional use of Ni/cordierite and Ni3Al catalysts on C6H12 conversion have been studied. It was observed that higher initial cyclohexane concentration and lower gas flow rate have a positive impact on the overall conversion. The kind of catalyst's bed also influences the overall cyclohexane conversion. The highest cyclohexane conversion was reached for a hybrid plasma catalytic system with Ni3Al catalyst (about 97%). The effect of discharge power on selectivity of cyclohexane conversion into CO and CO2 was investigated. With increasing discharge power, the conversion of cyclohexane to carbon monoxide was constant, whereas the conversion to carbon dioxide increased. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
