Development and characterization of Pb2KNb5O15 type ceramics using oxygenated and fluorinated additives

摘要
Many attempts of sintering Pb2KNb5O15 have been performed in view of making a comparative study. Among these the ceramics susceptible to give satisfactory results have been selected. These ceramics ''bronze type'' are obtained in the range of temperature 800-1050 degrees C gap, with an additional fluorinate or not. They have a high density and exhibit orthorhombic deformation. The grains size, as investigated using scanning electron microscopy, is about 1-3 mu m. The Curie temperature has been related to the chemically bonding effect.
