摘要
The Internet of Things environment consists of a large amount of devices deployed in the terrain that operate to accomplish different tasks. There are different applications operating in such an environment, which requires various types of devices to sense and communicate. To achieve network efficiency, it is required to have collaboration among these devices. In IoT environment, the services must be accessed at any time, from any where and at any place. In this view, there is a need to have the location of these devices available at all times. Also, the location information must be available for all the devices at any time in order to achieve real time response. This paper proposes a device localization scheme in a dynamic scenario, where minimum communication based location estimation is performed using the two layer IoT framework, namely, sensing layer and IoT layer. The location estimation and sharing of the estimated location information by sensor and IoT devices are performed, irrespective of their physical characteristics. The novelty of this paper may be noted by the fact that the proposed algorithm uses a real test bed with unmanned aerial vehicles for data collection and data dissemination among different entities in the network.
