摘要
This study was a retrospective review of 270 women who had undergone vaginal prolapse surgery with or without biological mesh reinforcement. Follow-up occurred after 1, 6, 12 and 24, 36months. The main outcome includes objective, subjective success and adverse event rates. For subjects attending the 36-month review, success in both group was not significantly different (P>0.05). Objective failures were significantly more likely to occur when did colporrhaphy (P<0.01), and the recurrences increased gradually in both group. A high level of improvements in symptoms was observed at 36 months compared to baseline in both groups, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. Vaginal mesh exposure occurred in 10 women (8.2%) and 3 (2.5%) occurring of erosion in the mesh group. Our long-term follow-up showed good anatomical and function correction, low intra- and perioperative complication rates, and rare mesh-specific adverse events.
