摘要
The CAP cement has a higher stiffness than PMMA cement by a factor of five in terms of elastic modulus. The FEM analysis showed that the use of CAP as a cement component increased cement tensile stress (8.76 MPa), compared to PMMA cement (1.99 MPa). The quantification of FEM results was verified using resistance strain gauges for the simulated THR model. The correlation between numerical results of FEM and experimental results was quite good. However, the maximum cement tensile stress (8.76 MPa) along the femoral component is much less than the tensile strength of CAP cement (50.5 MPa). The holographic analysis showed that the deformation of the simulated femur cemented by CAP was much more uniformly than that of the femur cemented by PMMA. These analytical results suggest that the newly developed bioactive cement (CAP) has good potential for clinical application.
