摘要
Cotton combing was done considering different noil percentage values, namely 12%, 14%, 16% and 18%. In order to obtain a 52% PES/48% cotton blend, blending was carried out on the draw-frame with 1.2 den/38 mm PES fibers, for each variant of combed cotton. The improved of mixture homogeneity and of drawn slivers uniformity was possible by the use of draw-frame passages. The drafter sliver was transformed into a pre-established very fine roving to be further yielding 19.68 tex (Ne 30) yarns, spun on a ring machine. The physical properties of yarns achieved were then studied of as to identify the effects determined by the noil/combing percent value.
