Low temperature synthesis of Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 powder and its characterization

摘要
Polycrystalline nickel-zinc ferrite powder was obtained by chemical coprecipitation involving the corresponding metal nitrates and sodium hydroxide. The precipitate, when dried at 80 degrees C in air, was characterized by powder XRD, SEM and VSM measurements. It shows the formation of cubic ferrite with saturation magnetization M(s) approximate to 44 emu/g. When calcined at 1200 degrees C, the magnetization reached 96% of the saturation value, M(S) approximate to 67 emu/g. The temperature dependence of magnetization confirmed the Curie temperature T-C approximate to 480 degrees C.
