摘要：
Advantages and disadvantages of various numerical methods to generate atomic data for electron-atom collisions are reviewed. Selected examples illustrate the current status regarding reliable and sufficiently complete data for such collisions, particularly for systems of interest for plasma processing and the lighting industry.
