摘要
This article raises reflections on how the Political Economy of Communication can contribute to studies that associate race and communication. Emphasize the relevance of investigations about these subjects potentialize the establishment of necessary dialogues between EPC and other perspectives. Motived by the creation of the ULEPICC-Brasil's section Critical Studies of gender, race, and identity [Estudos Criticos sobre genero, raca e identidade], in 2019, this paper suggests the construction of research agenda based on three axes: market labor, policies of communication and media system's structure, racism algorithmic and vigilance. We goal to contribute to a broader view of the production, circulation, and distribution of communication and cultural resources, based on the centrality and the intersection between class, race, and gender as totalizing and not fragmenting this field of research.
