BENEFITS OF BROWNFIELDS REVITALISATION IN PROMOTING TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN SLOVAKIA - A CASE STUDY

摘要
With the development of tourism in the Slovak Republic, an increasing need for expansion of accommodation and catering facilities and other tourism facilities, resulting in ever increasing need for a new area to implement them is closely related to. A possible solution is the use of such brownfields that are placed in once urbanized area that is not economically under-utilized with a significant negative impact on the overall image of tourist destination. It is for these reasons that the article discusses the system approach to solving the problems of re-use of brownfields in tourism in Slovakia as a potential tool to support further regional tourism development of, accepting the valid legal regulations of the Slovak Republic, as well as the principles and the principles of sustainable environmental development. The resolution of this issue was based on the identification of specific aspects of benefits and risks of internal and external environment determinants of the benefit resulting from the realization of potential brownfield development projects and monitoring of selected indicators supporting the tourism development of the region itself.
