摘要
Children physical activity must be evaluated at the stage of school uniforms design. The comfort of this type of clothes depends not only on their construction but also on the properties of used fabrics. The aim of this work was to analyze the deformability of suiting fabrics using several testing methods and determine their suitability for school uniforms. Two groups of suiting fabrics were chosen for this work. The first group polyester fabrics were used for school uniforms and were received from Kazakhstan. Rest pure wool and cotton/flex fabrics were chosen from Lithuanian factories. The tested fabrics deformability was evaluated using several tests. The extension till fabrics break, extension at low stress region, pure shearing and shearing during parallelepiped shape specimen's extension were used in this work. The results of research work have shown that fabrics degree of deformability depends not only on their fibre content structural characteristics but also on the direction and intensity of extension forces.
