摘要
Collimation optical system of Head-Mounted Display (HMD) with large exit pupil and special use condition was studied to simplify parallax adjustment; the sources and the principle of parallax of HMD were analyzed. By the introduction of maximum relative parallax (alpha(HMD)), the compensation quantum was linked to exit pupil diameter (D), focal length (f') and designated object distance (l(o)), a common equation was formed according to the rules of imaging optics, furthermore, a simplified formula, dl = -alpha(HMD).f('2)/D, was derived specifically taking account of the optical property of HMDs, and the method to quantize the parallax adjustment for HMDs was detailed.
