Delineating metropolitan Iloilo, Philippines using traffic volume analysis

摘要
Traffic volume on the basis of public utility vehicles (i.e. jeepneys) count at peak periods revealed how the area coverage of Metropolitan Iloilo in the Philippines fell short of including two municipalities which demonstrated strong functional mass transit relationship with Iloilo City - Santa Barbara and Zarraga, The findings also showed how oversupply of jeepney units affected 91 percent of routes to and from the city proper to satellite destinations, indicating the need for government to suspend the issuance of franchises to pertinent routes.
