Synthesis and characterization of selenium substituted hydroxyapatite via a hydrothermal procedure

摘要
A series of selenium-substituted hydroxyapatites (SeHAp) with different Se/P ratios has been synthesized via a hydrothermal method using sodium selenite as the Se source. The SeHAp materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The synthetic SeHAp samples were well-crystallized with a typical apatite structure and the SeHAp crystal lattice parameters increased slightly as the Se concentration increased when the Se/P ratios were less than 0.5. The selenium was incorporated into the hydroxyapatite lattice by replacing some of the phosphate groups with selenite groups. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
