2,4,6-Triarylpyrimidines are synthesized via a simple, one-pot, four-component reaction between aryl methyl ketones, benzaldehydes, aromatic nitriles, and hydroxylamine under microwave irradiation and solvent-free conditions in good to excellent yields. (c) 2006 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
