摘要
It is known that water circulation in the Arctic basin is mainly determined by heat-mass exchange through the straits, connecting the Arctic basin and the Atlantic ocean. To set a correct water in- and outflows in the straits correlated with salt and heat fluxes the Norwegian-Greenland and the Barents seas are considered as a part of an unified circulation system: the Arctic basin-the Norwegian-Greenland and the Barents seas-the Atlantic ocean. For investigation of the thermohaline circulation a three-dimensional model of large-scale water circulation in the Arctic and the Atlantic oceans based on the primitive hydrothermodynamical equations in spherical coordinate system with the pole placed in the Greenland region was used. The water velocity distributions correlated with the temperature and salinity fields in the straits with suitable spatial resolution were obtained. The diagnostical adaptational water circulation calculations for climatic summer and winter were performed.
