The EU Gas Directive has changed the face of the European gas industry. A fundamental part of its implementation relates to the mandatory introduction of Third Party Access (TPA) to gas infrastructure. This article discusses the situation regarding transportation and storage, the impacts TPA has on the business and offers some thoughts as to some problems and what more is required to allow a real European gas market to develop.
