摘要
The paper addresses the problems of education, whose solution and especially the final solution can help pupils and students of our schools to improve their placement in a virtual ranking when comparing with their peers from abroad. We do not mean the top, talented pupils those practically no school system can "go wrong". We focus on the common population, which is subject of various measurements and testing at local and international levels. Pupils represent the final target group in our activities. However, the way to them is through teachers who play a key role in shaping young people in the education system. Therefore, we focused primarily on the preparation of future physics teachers as well as on the training of practicing teachers in a key field to the education of young generation - inquiry based learning. The implementation of inquiry activities in the teaching of physics and, in the broader context, in other natural science subjects, naturally linked to the development of pupil cognitive processes, is the main topic of the submitted paper. The need for a coordinated approach in this area with experts in didactics of other science subjects becomes very essential.
