摘要
Aim: To determine DDI for emergency caesarean section in Doctors Trust Teaching Hospital and the effect of DDI on perinatal outcome. Study design: Prospective study. Setting: Emergency department, Doctor trust Teaching Hospital Sargodha. Duration: February 2020 to July 2020. Data collection: Three hundreds patients in emergency department of obstetrics were selected for caesarean section. Results: Three hundreds caesarean operations in emergency between 37 and 42 weeks of gestation were done. The commonest indication was cephalo pelvic disproportion in labor i.e. 120 (40%) followed by fetal distress i.e. 86(28.7%). The difference of mean DDI indication was statistically significant (p<0.05). There was no significant difference between DDI and perinatal outcome. Conclusion: There was no significant difference between DDI and perinatal outcome.
