Study the effect of concentration ratio (magnetic abrasive powder and castor oil) in magnetic abrasive finishing process

摘要
The new technology can however be incorporated in conventional machine tools in order to minimize cost of new equipment. In present work, the effect of magnetic abrasive powder and castor oil mixture in magnetic abrasive finishing process is investigated. The lower concentration of lubricating oil results in higher heat accumulation which further decreased the cutting efficiency due to blunting action of abrasives. On the other hand, the larger quantity of lubricating oil prevents blunting which resulted in higher cutting efficiency. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
