摘要
Organizational change proves to be a difficult problem for a company's management. Change is caused by technology, economic shocks, workforce, competitors' strategies, and social, economical and political trends. During global crisis, successful companies are the ones who anticipate, manage and understand the impact of change. and take into consideration reengineering their business. Organizational change must be carefully planned and methodically conducted before implementation. Plans of change must be approved by major stakeholders, and objectives, resources, roles and risks must be clarified. This paper analyzes the ability of companies in general and of maritime companies in particular to apply practical methods of change in order to turn chaotic situations, caused by financial and economical crisis, into development opportunities.
