Effect of film thickness on the grain size and photocatalytic activity of the sol-gel derived nanometer TiO2 thin films

摘要
Transparent anatase TiO2 nanometer thin films were prepared via the sol-gel method on soda-lime glass. The effects of film thickness, crystalline phase and grain size were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2 thin films were evaluated for the photocatalytic decolorization of aqueous methyl orange.
