摘要
Sexuality is present in different ways in the life of human beings, but many stigmas are attributed to it and this represents a barrier to sex education. The objective of this article is to describe research trends on sex education in some Latin American and European countries according to fifty articles published in the ProQuest, Taylor & Francis and ScienceDirect databases between 2000 and 2020. The results identify five research trends on sex education in these countries: public policies and national sex education programs; sex education in educational contexts; actors involved in school sex education, gender focus and inclusion in sex education; and perceptions/knowledge about sexuality. It is concluded that the "Sex education in educational contexts" trend, turns out to be the most widely used in the consulted research, as it aims to evaluate the developed programs, to propose pedagogical strategies for intervention and to investigate the problems around the teaching of sexuality and the need to promote sex education in this context.
