摘要
The technological parameters of gas wells in the fields located in the Far North are monitored by self-powered, or stand-alone Information and Instrumentation Systems (SIIS). These systems are powered by lithium thionyl chloride batteries the service life of which is limited. More efficient battery use requires optimizing the SIIS operating algorithms in terms of power consumption. The paper analyzes the power consumption of hardware-implemented computational algorithms based on various source-data compression methods. It is proposed to use the maximum duration of process parameters recording as the criterion for selecting a compression algorithm, as the gas-well analysis hardware must take complex measurements in a stand-alone mode for a long time while exposed to harsh weather. The proposed method has been used to create a gas-well process parameters control system; based on the study results, the combined linear interpolation-extrapolation method was chosen for pressure recording, while the combined stepwise interpolation-extrapolation method was chosen for temperature recording.
