摘要
The remote navigation of small surface marine vehicles is an exciting engineering challenge. It has applications in the coordination of fleets of unmanned marine vessels that are used in the observation and data gathering mission in our oceans. However, the wave field in the region, where the vessels are operating, is required for a reliable and resilient remote navigation. In this initial study, we present a Kalman Filter method derived from the lossless wave equation to estimate the sea state and generate the local wave field for remote navigation applications. A numerical case study was simulated, and the generated 3D ocean surface wave field was then used to evaluate the performance of this new approach. The preliminary simulation results obtained are encouraging.
