Search task by limb mechanism robot with infrared sensors and cameras

摘要
We have proposed a human body searching technique by the limb-mechanism robot with infrared sensors and CCD cameras. We have developed the limb-mechanism robot having two or more legs (limb) that can be diverted to both a leg and an arm, and we are considering the application of the robot to rescue tasks. The tele-operated limb-mechanism robot searches for a human body by the infrared sensor. The operator monitors the views of the cameras directed to the detected point. The distance to a sufferer can be measured by cameras on the limbs of the robot.
