Verification of Statnamic load testing with static load testing in a cohesive soil type in Germany

Five cast in-situ piles (Jaebo auger type) on a site in Germany with a cohesive soil type had been tested with Statnamic Load Testing to a load of about 4MN. The results were supplied to the client as a class A prediction, and subsequently the same piles were statically load tested by the company BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH to verify the Statnamic results. This paper presents the results of both the Statnamic load test and static load tests, together with soil investigation results, pile information and the method of analysis. The pile testing results will be compared and discussed.
