摘要：
Diagnostic imaging in the oral and maxillofacial region is based on a staged concept. Preliminary investigations for detailed representation (dental radiograph) and an overview (panoramic radiograph), specific investigations for targeted clarification of findings (nowadays primarily cone-beam CT), and further investigations such as CT and MRI are all available. The current article provides guidance regarding technical aspects and application of diagnostic imaging in the oral and maxillofacial region.
