Synthesis, structures and antibacterial activities of two complexes of yttrium (III) with 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate

摘要
Two novel complexes, Na3Y(pydc)(3)center dot 12H(2)O (1) and Y-2(pydc)(OH)(4)center dot 3H(2)O (2) (pydc = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate), were synthesized by yttrium (III) nitrate and pydcH(2) with different molar ratios. The elemental analysis, IR spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction were used to determine the structure of complexes. The thermal decompositions and antimicrobial activities against Bacillus coli and Staphylococcus aureus were recorded and interpreted for both. (c) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
