ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN THE CONTEXT OF OVERALL BUILDING PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

摘要
The building sector has a very important role with regard to protecting resources and the environment under the framework of sustainable development. Energy efficiency in building design, construction and operation is one major issue to proceed in this direction. However, there is a tendency to understand energy efficiency to a large extend as energy saving only. In this paper it is shown that energy efficiency in buildings has to be an integral part of an overall building performance assessment.
