摘要:
Efficient conduct of an activity by an individual implies a complex of personal characteristics corresponding to the requirements of that activity. To avoid a number of negative consequences (adjustment disorders with negative effects on the individual, social relations and on occupational safety) it is of great importance to have objective knowledge of all individual traits and professional requirements and reaching an agreement between them. Individuals must posses: skills, knowledge and capabilities necessary for a specific type of work, work capacity, emotional balance, and positive views on work and not least the proper motivation. These issues are particularly important given that the literature points out that in 80% of cases human factor represents the main cause of work accidents. Achieving this agreement intended to lead to the integration of workers at work is possible through vocational guidance and selection. Following the psychological evaluation, as part of vocational guidance and selection process, those candidates will be identified that will simultaneously meet the following criteria: working place adequacy, skills for high performance and potential for professional development. Training and authorization of rescue and emergency intervention personnel is preceded by vocational guidance and selection process, so that to the educational process participate only those candidates whose personal characteristics are consistent with the profession of mining rescuer. This paper emphasizes the importance of psychological evaluation, vocational guidance and selection of mine rescuers, as a preliminary stage of their training.
