摘要
A new ecological method for shrink-proofing of wool fabrics is presented. It is based on enzymatic pretreatment and chitosan deposition on wool fabric. The method was tested by measuring changes in linear dimensions of fabric samples after washing in different temperatures and after dyeing process using react ive dyestuff: Colour differences between untreated dyed fabric samples and fabrics dyed after enzymatic treatment, chitosan treatment and complex enzymatic-chitosan treatment were assessed. The changes of colour pastness against washing and rubbing were assessed according to Polish Standards. Research results allow to conclude that enzymatic pre-treatment has an essential influence on shrink-proofing properties and only a small amount of chitosan is necessary for stabilization of wool shrink-proofing quality. Enzymatic-chitosan pre-treatment also assures good dyeability of wool fabrics by reactive dyestuffs.
